G-TEC Training is a small company that specialises in the delivery of high quality training and assessment within the electrical industry.

The proprietor Griff Thomas, who is also the main trainer, and all of the staff have themselves had practical electrical and mechanical apprenticeships and worked their way up to provide training through colleges and private training facilities.

In fact between us we have a combination of over 45 years involved in further education and lecturing within the electrical industry.
 
Our Centre
 
Our new purpose built centre is a state of the art training facility specifically built for the courses we deliver, with heating and air conditioning in the training areas for maximum comfort during your course we believe we have attained the highest standards available for a training centre. This is backed by friendly and helpful staff to help you althrough your chosen course.
 
We are also situated in an area of outstanding beauty in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales and you will be able to see the green rolling hills from the windows at the centre making it a much more pleasurable experience compared to some of the town & city based training venues, in fact we have had candidates who have brought their partners with them to combine the training with a short break in the country.
 
We can put you in touch with a number of superb local accommodation providers in the area who have promised to give the best available rates to our clients.
 
 
Mobile Training

When G-TEC Training decided to apply for it`s own centre approval we realised that there was a niche market for on-site delivery of these courses and we attained the approval specifically with this in mind.

With ten mobile training and assessment rigs and multiple laptops for the GOLA system, we can meet the needs of any company when it comes to on site training. (certain conditions apply, see course details).
 
We have even negated the requirement for a three phase supply for the test rigs by adopting a method approved by City & Guilds, this means we can deliver and assess courses in hotel conference suites or trainng venues without any special requirements.
 
Worldwide Training

We are also aware of the huge influence that British standards have all around the world.

That is why we now offer a truly worldwide service to those organisations who recognise the City & Guilds qualifications.

We can train, assess and run the GOLA online testing facility worldwide for those companies that require certification to City & Guilds standards, or British companies operating abroad.

Course Materials & Handouts

GTEC Training supplies all the relevant practical based rigs and test equipment, and whilst we use a variety of manufacturers test equipment during our assessments, we can offer Megger instruments for sale at competitive prices.

IEE publications are also available on request and can be built into your training package at very competitive prices.
